Isaac is likely on it's way...

Tropical Depression #9 has formed in the Atlantic and could become the 9th named storm of the season later today. The Southeastern states look like they will be in play next week.

Here's a terrific overview from Accuweather, who remind us that the 9th storm of the season has a infamous history.

Do you remember?

  • Irene - 2011
  • Igor - 2010
  • Ike - 2008
  • Ivan - 2004
  • Isabel - 2003
  • Isadore - 2002
  • Iris - 2001

  • All of these storms were bad enough that the names have been "retired".
